Profusely illustrated throughout with colour photographs by Philip Jones Griffiths. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the contents, with very light toning to the margins and faint foxing to the prelims, are otherwise clean throughout. Inscribed by Philip Jones Griffiths in black ink to the flyleaf "For John Tulley / who tuned the / cameras that took / the pictures! / Many Thanks / Philip Jones Griffiths". The recipient was an Olympus technician who serviced and repaired Jones Griffiths' camera equipment. A fascinating journey in photographs through Bangkok featuring the work of the celebrated photojournalist known for his photographs of the Vietnam war. Showing snippets of many walks of life in Bangkok from religious practices such as schoolgirls having their fortune told and a Buddhist monk's ordination to scenes of working life and leisure hours, with accompanying commentary by John Blofied, a prolific writer on Asian religion and philosophy.
