Undated; Bergen died in 1978. Two very old folds present but now nearly invisible having been stored flat for many years. PS. 10" x 8". N.d. N.p. A photo signed "Here's to Charlie Bard, It's nice to meet a man as smart as I am. Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergen". The black-and-white photograph shows the puppet McCarthy shaking a spectacled man's hand in front of an American flag as Bergen looks on. The photo may have been taken during World War II, when Bergen and McCarthy performed for troops around the world. The inscription is in white ink, the photo is framed and it in fine condition.
