Book
Hardcover. Condition: Good. A collection of short stores by Leslie Gordon Barnard. Born in Montreal, Barnard began writing in 1920, primarily producing works of short popular fiction. He would go on to be known as the most productive Canadian author of short stories. Many of his stories were published in magazines, as well as being published in collections such as this one. This particular volume is number 466 of 550 copies, of which 490 were available for sale. It also has an inscription from the author addressed to W.H. Landry on the front fly leaf, thanking him for his help in producing the book. The book is missing its dust jacket, but is in Good condition, with the paper covering on the corners of the boards worn away as well as some significant bumping, as well as damage to the top of the spine. Otherwise, the binding is tight and the text is clear. An interesting copy of the work of a lesser known but significant Canadian author.
