Hard Cover. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Number 130 of only 750 copies printed on handmade paper, boldly signed by Sassoon in blue ink to limitation leaf. Bound in the original publisher's blue buckram with gilt spine titles. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Slightly cocked, cloth faded to spine as usual with gilt still bright and fully legible. a few very light spots of foxing to endpapers else contents bright, crisp, clean and free of ownership marks, inscriptions or annotations. A Very Good copy. Highly influential poignant fictionalised account of the Sassoon's experiences in the Great War. Sassoon's passionate and often harrowing poetry about the disillusionment of the Great War brought him both public and critical acclaim and is still taught in schools to this day.
