Signed by the author with an inscription for the former owner. 'For Rich Humphrey - As they say in N.B. Very best' Inscription is dated August 13, 2003. A classic of fly-fishing, stories and sketches of a life in fishing. 5-3/4" X 8-1/2", 127 pages. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Original price of $4 is printed on the top corner of the front flap. Jacket has some minor edge wear at the head and heel of the spine panel, and a short closed tear at the top edge of the back panel, about 1/4 inch tall. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Light green cloth covered boards, with the title and author on the spine in black and silver. Edges of the text block are relatively clean with one very faded dot of a stain on the bottom edge, about 1/4 inch across. Binding is tight and square. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Not a library discard copy. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory. Inscribed by Author(s).
First edition, first printing. Signed and inscribed presentation copy from author to Tony Lyons, which additionally has a brief handwritten note signed by the author affixed to half title. Near Fine with light wear to edges and corners and previous owners bookplate in moderately rubbed chipped and edgeworn but bright dust jacket.

Signed by Palmer Baker and Thomas Aquinas Daly on the limitation page. With six reproductions of watercolors by Thomas Aquinas Daly tipped-in. Also with six additional stories not included in the 1965 first edition. This is a fine letterpress edition, printed on Artemis paper. With the four-page prospectus laid-in. The book is bound in gray cloth spine with a paper titling label and handmade paper with pieces of flora mixed in. Blue cloth slip case. It's attractive. Fine in a fine slip case.
