I disegni sono trattati seguendo un ordine prima cronologico e poi tematico, riunendo gruppi di soggetto analogo, di destinazione affine o con funzioni assimilabili. Band des Corpus der italienischen Zeichnungen 1300 1500 ist den Brüdern Pollaiolo gewidmet und besteht aus einem Katalog mit 57 Einträgen zu den Blättern des berühmten Goldschmieds und Bildhauers Antonio (1430/1431 1498), des Malers Piero (1441 nach 1485) und eines dritten Bruders, Salvestro (1434 nach 1470), der mit Antonio als Goldschmied zusammenarbeitete. Zu den eigenhändigen Werken kommen Zeichnungen, die in enger Anlehnung an die Werke der Brüder Pollaiolo entstanden sind, sowie Kopien von verlorenen Blättern, nicht nur aus dem florentinischen Umkreis, welche für die Rekonstruktion dieser Künstlerpersönlichkeiten unerlässlich sind. Die Zeichnungen sind chronologisch und anschließend thematisch geordnet. Die einzelnen Gruppen haben entweder ein ähnliches Thema oder ähnliche Zwecke oder Funktionen.
