DESCRIPTION: This 320 page illustrated story is of William Walker, cowpoke, trapper, scout, guide, freighter and the conflict of the Johnson County Cattle War. Bill Walker was the only living witness to the battle between the cattlemen and the homesteaders, which took place at the K C Ranch located on the Powder River on April 9, 1892. The front and back endpapers show the location of the Scene of the Johnson County War. CONDITION: A blind stamp from the previous owner is on the dedication page. The book doesn't have a dust cover but is in otherwise very good condition. Not Signed.
