The majority of these illustrate the history of the great age of discovery which forms the foundation of modern history. Spots of foxing on eps and half-title. Very occasional spots of light foxing in text. Binding tight. Many pages unopened. Yellow eps. Bound in blue cloth boards of the Hakluyt Society with gilt lettering on spines. Gilt vignette of the sailing ship 'Victoria' on front board. Blindstamp decoration on boards.
