About the Author:

Rabbi and doctor of philosophy Marc-Alain Ouaknin is the director of the ALEPH Center for Jewish Studies (Paris) and associate professor at the University of Bar-ilan (Israel), where he teaches philosophy and comparative literature. Among his many works, Ouakin has published The Burnt Book, I'll Tell You a Story, Mysteries of the Alphabet, Mysteries of the Kabbalah, and with Assouline, Symbols of Judaism (1995), and Haggadah: The Passover Story (in collaboration with Gerard Garouste, 2001).
