Review:
'In Mother Goose Remembers, Clare Beaton has illustrated 50 nursery rhymes with hand-sewn fabric collages. Her concept books have already attracted a lot of praise, here her work is at it's best, expressive, child-friendly and humorous. 'The stunning artwork has impressed all of us here,' says Jenny Morris'-Bookseller --Bookseller. 'The illustrator, who combines embroidery with fabrics with different weaves and textures, particularly with felt, has made quite a name for herself in this style. Especially impressive is her ability to convey a wide range of movement and mood in her detailed collages. Here you will see children playing, birds dilly-dallying and piggies going to market. The heading of each nursery rhyme is rendered in hand-sewn letters too, and there are several surprises for adults and children to discover. -Nursery World --Nursery World. 'Great for reading together, this collection of favourite nursery rhymes is illustrated by a series of beautiful hand-sewn pictures and the hidden feather on each page will capture their attention' - Prima Baby --Prima Baby
