Wythe Holt received a J.D. and a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Virginia, and taught at The University of Alabama School of Law for 39 years, where he is University Research Professor of Law Emeritus. The author of several books, his articles have appeared in journals such as Labor History, Duke Law Journal, and Osgoode Hall Law Journal, and he has recently completed a legal history of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794.
Michael Cobb received a master’s in American Studies from the College of William and Mary, and is the founding curator of the Hampton History Museum. He is the author of Fort Wool: Star Spangled Banner Rising, as well as several published articles about the Civil War, and is the recipient of the Jefferson Davis award from the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
