Many think that happiness, like success, comes from getting what they want. But new evidence from positive psychology suggests that happiness is something else, or at least something more. Presenting surprisingly practical wisdom in a playful and entertaining format, Rob Mack delivers a simple-to-follow instruction manual, based in both science and personal experience, for living a happier, healthier, and wealthier life, starting today.

Mack describes eight tried-and-true principles for realizing unconditional happiness and achieving the unparalleled success that comes with it. With a little effort, anyone -- regardless of current circumstances -- can discover new levels of joy and contentment on the inside and live a wonderfully prosperous and abundant life on the outside.

Grand Eagle Retail

Book Description Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. We live in an era of satisfied expectations, yet more is never enough. This book is about the greatest conspiracy that's ever been propagated on American soil: The American Dream. Today more people are living the American Dream than ever before, yet those people are clearly not happy. Rich, successful celebrities attempt suicide or go off the deep end with drugs, alcohol, or sex. Millionaires go bankrupt vying for ever bigger houses or fortunes. Why aren't we ever satisfied? According to psychologists, happiness can be described as one of be two things: getting what you want, and/or; wanting what you get. In fact, a new science has developed around happiness, a discipline called 'positive psychology', and it is now being taught at Ivy League universities. Robert Mack distils those teachings and theories into a practical and entertaining book that describes how readers can understand and experience happiness, starting with their own habits and beliefs. Robert Mack gives readers a road map to become happier by starting where they are with what they have. He offers several approaches to happiness, acknowledging that this is not a 'one size fits all' proposition. And then he goes above and beyond that to show them how to attract the life of your dreams. "Happiness from the Inside Out" goes beyond the simplistic approach of books such as "The Secret" to describe the habits that make people happy. Written from the perspective of a celebrity coach and positive psychologist with a spiritual bent, the book is uniquely innovative. It blends the scientific with the spiritual in ways that make the book readable and appealing for a wide, material, and even celebrity conscious, audience. The focus is clearly on a spiritual solution grounded in scientific evidence. Why aren't we ever satisfied? According to psychologists, happiness can be described as one of be two things: getting what you want, and/or; wanting what you get. This book describes how readers can understand and experience happiness, starting with their own habits and beliefs.
