Cherie D. Schadler, and her husband Ron, are known by children throughout the South for their puppet shows featuring the characters of Bayou Town. She is also the author of Pelicanis Welcome to Bayou Town!. Mrs. Schadler and her husband can be heard narrating that story on Pelicanis Welcome to Bayou Town! Audiocassette. Ann Biedenharn Jones is a naturalist and portrait painter and is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She first paired her colorful illustrations with Schadleris story for Pelican in Welcome to Bayou Town!
