"Is there a chronological design to the time periods in history?" To answer this question, John C. Amy was propelled into a research project lasting nine years and spanning three thousands years of history (1029 BC- 1967 AD). The results were altogether positive. Highlights of his findings form the core of this book. Not only did Mr. Amy find clear and abundant evidence of design, he also found that the results were closely coordinated with the prophetic time periods of the biblical books of Daniel and Revelation. This enabled the identification of not only the time periods specified there, but also the meaning of the many passages in Daniel and Revelation. God is sovereign over history. As revealed in the Scriptures and confirmed by Mr. Amy's study, God has a purpose and a plan for the nations, one that nears fulfillment. He purposes to establish His kingdom on earth. There is to be peace on earth under the rule of the Messiah, Jesus; and, as demonstrated in this study, Israel and Jerusalem have a special place in that plan. John C. Amy lives in Montreal with his wife of fifty years. He has two sons and two granddaughters. Mr. Amy attended UBC in Vancouver (Science and Arts) and McMaster Divinity College. He pastored for twenty years in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. He has retained a persistent interest in the quest for knowledge and truth.
