About the Author:

Dr. Sutton is a highly requested motivational speaker, published author, and workshop facilitator. He is the host of the MDI Prep television and radio show in Houston, Texas, which highlights healthcare professionals across the U.S. He received his medical degree from UT Houston Medical School. He is a medical consultant and CEO of the MDI Prep Corporation. He has spoken to over 100,000 students all across the United States about overcoming test anxiety. While some would call him that energy boost they need, he feels that his true calling is to bring out the potential nestled inside every individual. He was homeless in his senior year of high school and spent many nights sleeping behind a vacant elementary school. He is the author of the book, See It Through: HUSTLE for Success, which shows how we can overcome any situation. Prior to entering the school of medicine, Dr. Sutton served as a Beaumont Police Officer and Harris County Officer for 10 years. He has served as the President of the Student National Medical Association UT Houston Chapter and Director of the Youth Leadership Forum. He has served on the Safety Coalition for the UT Health Science Center. Dr. Sutton was honored in 2010 to be the keynote speaker for former Presidential First Lady’s Barbara and Laura Bush. Dr. Sutton is a member of the American Medical Association and serves on several community boards such as Teen and Family Services and UT Houston Medical School alumni board. He spent seven years as a medical school admissions interviewer. He is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. He and his wife have five wonderful children and one grandson.
