About the Author:
ALEJANDRO RAUL MUJICA OLEA, nació en Santiago, Chile el 8 de agosto de 1947. El llego como un refugiado politico a Canadá en 1975 y se nacionalizo Canadiense en Alberta en 1980. En 1973, los militares dieron un golpe de estado causando el asesinato del Presidente Salvador Allende Gossens, y muchos muertos. Alejandro fue detenido, torturado y condenado a ocho años de cárcel. Escribió en pequeños papelitos de computadora, un diario de vida y los escondió, le tomo casi treinta años para editar este diario en el libro "A ;a Sombra de la Muerte" y su libro de poesía en dos lenguajes "Perlas del Alma de un Preso Político". Mujica es fundador junto con Ariadne Sawyer de "EL MUNDO DE LA POESÍA en un Café", mas tarde, "Las Series de EL MUNDO DE LA POESÍA en la Biblioteca Publica de Vancouver" y un programa en La Radio Cooperativa 102.7 FM, donde han participado más de 500 poetas de todas las nacionalidades. EL PROYECTO CULTURAL SUR VANCOUVER, le concedió La Medalla de Plata "Gonzalo Cantón Santelices" y Poeta del Año 2003. Además cuenta con muchos diplomas recibidos de parte de consulados, radios, organismos literarios.
