Da Sommacampagna, entrambi del secolo XIV, e quelli dei due cinquecentisti. G. G. Trissino e A. Minturno. Per le relazioni fra la poesia provenzale e l'italiana mi afiidai alle Osservazioni sulla poesia dei trovatori di G. Galvani e all'opera magistrale Die Poesie der Troubadoum di F. Diez, della quale tenni innanzi la recente edizione colle giunte di C. Bartsch. Per il lll cap. Mi fu assai utile l'elegante studio sul sonetto del mio A. Borgognoni inserito nella Nuova Antologia (an. 1879. Fase. Il); per l'viii mi giovai dei molti scritti. Ai quali in occasione la pubblicazione delle Odi barbare. E specialmente di quelli del Chiarini, del Cavallotti, del Mazzoni, del Borgognoni e dello Stampini.
