Crossing paths is a heart-warming story that accurately captures life in post-independence Tanzania. Following the lives of two women, the story brings out everyday experiences including culture, finding love and experiencing loss that I could easily relate to as an East African woman. About the Author:

During the twenty years Susan Lewallen lived in eastern and southern Africa she worked in medicine in over a dozen countries while raising two sons. She developed a curiosity for what makes people and cultures alike and different. As a doctor, she also faced challenges with the health systems she worked in; her experiences motivated her to write the novel, Crossing Paths.
