The posse shoots to kill, but Ben survives. Too bad it's all downhill from here. As the tale unwinds, Chief McClelland and the posse suspect that Ben may not be telling them the whole truth. And they might be right. Good thing Ben has a hard head. If at first you don't succeed, die, die, die again.

Double Take is launching a new comic book universe. We have assembled ten teams of talented writers and artists and asked them to start their stories in the world established by Night of the Living Dead. Then we let our imaginations, and our zombies, run wild. Mostly, these are new stories star new characters. But if you love the classic film, you won t be disappointed. You can follow your favorite film characters from their first appearances, to their dying breaths, to their first baby zombie steps.

Review:

Mix one maverick comics publisher, a horror movie classic, a renowned video game company and some of the best oral storytellers from the popular The Moth Radio Hour and you have a pretty unusual mix for a new line of comics. You could also have a hit. - Rich Shivener, Publishers Weekly

Since its initial release in 1968, George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead has captivated audiences, and as part of the public domain, Romero's classic film has been re-explored in other stories over the years. Sometimes these projects are ill advised, but with its impressive expansion of Romero's zombified world, Double Take's new ultimate night of the living dead comic book series is a re-imagining worth reading. - Derek Anderson, Daily Dead

What began as a sequel of sorts to George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead has morphed into a unique creature that stands sturdily on its own two feet. For many of the ten individual-yet-intertwined series under the Night of the Living Dead: Revival label, only about 24 hours have passed since their stories kicked off last September in their respective first issues. Now those initial issues have transformed into something truly special, and like a baby growing at an accelerated rate, these stories are all grown up from where they started (which was a pretty damn good beginning). They have surpassed their original expectations and are now raising hell and having fun outside the playpen, making these #4 issues the best treats yet for readers. - Derek Anderson, Daily Dead

Soul is a strong introduction into this universe. Taking on a universe so revered in pop culture is a daunting task not many would be willing to take on; Double Take does so tremendously well.

--Bri D'Anton, ComicsVerse

Coast has made some bold moves with Ben in the Soul series, making his story one of the most delightfully bizarre (and thought-provoking) of the bunch. --Derek Anderson, Daily Dead

SOUL #4 is a comic that you need to read more than once. How it becomes a game changer and takes a big step away from its source material isn't apparent straight away. However once you realise what's going on, it opens up a whole new world for the Double Take Universe. --Chris Galvin, ComicsVerse
