About the Author:
Betty Stocker is a true countrywoman, born in rural Cotswolds, brought up to appreciate its traditions and its natural beauty. Her photography reflects her love of all things country, and communicates her knowledge of the area as a real, working, breathing environment. Tooty Gibbs grew up on a South Warwickshire farm and enjoyed an enviable childhood in the days when cows really were called Buttercup or Daisy, the hens laid their eggs in the nooks and carnnies of the haybarn, and the meadows were brimming with bee orchid and cranesbill, sorrel and toadflax, moon daisies and scabious....
