The scope of Committee E50 is: The promotion of knowledge, stimulation of research, and development of standard guides, specifications, practices, test methods, classifications, and definitions relating to environmental assessment. The scope of the committee includes, but is not limited to, commercial real estate transactions, storage tanks, and pollution prevention. One objective of the Committee is to establish good commercial practices that satisfy the due diligence responsibilities of landowners.
