About the Author:
Annette Yates is a cookery writer who loves eating and cooking out of doors. Her holidays are usually spent in the family's comfortable folding camper and she would be happy to barbecue every day of the year.

Since her training as a home economist, Annette has written many cookbooks including The Combination Microwave Cook and Cooking for One and Two, and she has contributed to magazines such as BBC Good Food, Ideal Home, and Women's Journal.

From the Inside Flap:
Barbecuing is more than just a welcome break from the kitchen, it awakens our basic instincts: food, fire, and nature.

Great Grilling Cookbook is the difinitive guide to hosting a glorious barbecue featuring traditional fare, such as sumptuous seared steaks through to the more exotic souvlaki and tabbouleh, drawing on influences as diverse as Creole, Tex Mex, Japanese, and Greek along the way.

Throughout its full color pages, you will be guided on the essential equipment and cooking methods, and shown how to impart the authentic smoky flavours of oak, mesquite, and hickory to your food. You will also find rich marinades and aromatic bastings to set your taste buds aglow, and helpful tips to ensure you won't be serving any burnt offerings!

Try your hand at superb dishes such as Oriental Glazed Pork, Creole Blackened Fish, and Thai-style Butterfly Jumbo Shrimp. For the purists, there are recipes for traditional barbecue sauces plus a range of exciting dishes for non meat-eaters.
