About the Author:

Sid Hartman is the dean of Twin Cities sports columnists and radio personalities. His first column appeared in the Minneapolis Daily Times in September 1945. Since then, he has written about virtually every significant sports event and personality in Minnesota. In addition to his Star Tribune column, Hartman hosts a regular sports-talk program on WCCO radio, and is a fixture at the games played by the teams that dominate the headlines in local sports.
