Very Good, This is the revised edition (1952) of the original publication in 1932. The illustrated yellow paper dustjacket is intact, marred only by a brown water stain on the spine (which is also very lightly faded)and two very small, light stains on the right base of the front dj. The dj displays some mild signs of shelfwear, but is still VG. The brown cloth cover is in VG+ condition. Internally, the front recto endpapr bears a gift inscription for Christmas 1969. The front verso endpaper is very lkightly waterstaned at the top left side. The text is clean, clar and unmarked. All in all, a well preserved copy of a classic work of humorous travel writing

About the Author:
J. R. Ackerley (1896-1967) was for many years the literary editor of the BBC magazine The Listener. His works include three memoirs, Hindoo Holiday, My Dog Tulip, and My Father and Myself, and a novel, We Think the World of You (all available as New York Review Books). Eliot Weinberger is the author of three collections of essays: Outside Stories, Works on Paper, and Karmic Traces. He is also the editor and translator of the Collected Poems of Octavio Paz and the Selected Non-fictions of Jorge Luis Borges.
