About the Author:
Victor Suthren is the Director of the Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, and has a wide range of sailing experience in traditional and small ships in which he has followed the routes of the 18th Century Wars. He was commissioned in Canada's Navy Reserve and is a Board Member of the Canadian Sail Training Association. Consequently, his 4 novels featuring Edward Mainwaring are written with the authentic knowledge of an expert.
Synopsis:
Set in 1741 this novel centres round a story of pursuit and adventure when a young American lieutenant in the Royal Navy, Edward Mainwaring sets off round Cape Horn after the Spanish privateers who have kidnapped the girl he loves. The author has also written "Royal Yankee".
