Synopsis:
Set in Carmarthenshire at the turn of the century this novel describes the drama in the lives of a wealthy tinplate-mining family and the community over which they hold sway. Margaret Buckley and her two brothers each deal differently with the exigencies of a changing world. Paul Ferris is the author of "How Green was my Valley" and is the biographer of Dylan Thomas, Richard Burton and Northcliffe.
