About the Author:
Walter Evans-Wentz (1878 1965) was an American anthropologist who was deeply interested in religion. He spent many years in the high Himalaya and commissioned a translation of what he was to title The Tibetan Book of the Dead from a Tibetan who taught at a boys school.
