TYPOGRAPHY 23. TYPE DIRECTORS CLUB: No.23 (Typography: The Annual of the Type Directors Club) - Hardcover
For the past forty-eight years, the Type Directors Club has encouraged the worldwide graphic arts community to achieve excellence in typography through its annual international competitions. Typography 23 is the only annual devoted exclusively to typography and presents the finest work in this field for the year 2001. Selected from approximately 2500 international submissions to the forty-eighth Type Directors Club competition, the 158 winning designs are models of excellence and innovation in the use of type design. This year's selection encompasses a wide range of categories, including books, magazines, corporate identities, logotypes, stationary, annual reports, video and web graphics, and posters. Additionally, this year's volume features the results of the Club's fourth annual typeface design competition, TDC2 2002 which produced 17 winners out of 119 international entries. In both competitions each winning entry is displayed in full-colour and is accompanied by complete information about designer, client, typography and more. This edition also includes a special index listing the principal typefaces used and the names of their designers.
