‘WHAT CHILDREN WANT IS SQUASHING DOWN!
WHAT CHILDREN WANT IS FLATTENING OUT!’
Would you want a guardian who said that? Neither did Dimanche Diller, but she had one – Valburga Vilemile! And Valburga has more than a squashing planned for Dimanche. After all, it’s only Dimanche who stands in the way of what Valburga wants above everything else – Hilton Hall and the family fortune. But Dimanche isn’t so easy to defeat – so who will flatten who?
Shortlisted for the Guardian Award.
