Once listed, this will be the Only signed copy for sale on the Internet. The signed inscription is on the half-title page. It reads: 'To Joe, (making a book out of thin air), your American friend, P. J. '. The book itself is quite rare. I saw only one other copy for sale. The page after the title page appears to have another title: 'A headless self-portrait of the artist as James: Followed by the story of Katharine's paranoiac disappearances.' You can see the light blue covers in the photos. As you can see, there is a small circular discoloration just off the top edge of the front cover. There was some sort of a sticker there and you can still feel a little bit of the residue. There is also a small scuff in the circle which was likely caused when the sticker was removed. There is only one other small spot on the front cover. There is some wrinkling and crinkling on the spine particularly off its top edge. There's a small dent in the rear cover just adjacent to the spine off the top edge. There is one small light spot on the top page edge and one even smaller light spot on the middle page edge. The page edges are otherwise perfectly clean. The book is solidly bound from cover to cover. The covers are quite solidly bound as well. The interior of the book is in very nice shape. The pages are exceptionally clean. In scrolling through, I've yet to find any soiling. There is no conspicuous creasing. There are few tip of the corner little creases, not much of anything. There are no markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. Seller Inventory # 003614
