Hbk, 90 pages, 32 colour plates and 30 text drawings by the author, map 25 cm. Previous owner's name on ffep, some light foxing o/w a clean copy in good condition. The dust wrapper is tanned and scuffed / torn around the edges but still in fair condition. Wessel was a noted German painter who served as a soldier and war artist in the Second World War. He had a number of exhibitions after the war and died in 1971. This copy has a signed dedication on the front free end paper dated 11.1.1945.
