Black publisher's cloth with red titles on cover and spine. Autographed by the author on title page, ?Walter B. Pitkin, Jan 13, 1930.? Walter Pitkin was a founding member of Columbia University's School of Journalism. Previous owner's name on front endpaper shows that he, too, was at Columbia (John W. Sims/ Columbia University/1930). 13 short stories, all but two of which were written expressly for this book. Pages lightly tanned with age, but unmarked save for the previously mentioned inscriptions. Binding very good. Seller Inventory # 000939
