A delightful little volume described as 'The Shakespeare Birthday Book with Diary for Memoranda. No date but gift inscription for Christmas 1892. Binding red leather with gilt lettering to front. Cover seriously rubbed and torn at top of spine, with some erosion, a reflection of its age, but colour good and largely intact. Gilt page edges to top. bottom and front, all very clean and bright. Internally: front hinge broken and back fly slightly damaged. but stitching intact and quite tight considering its age; very clean, slight discolouration to page edges but no foxing. Gift inscription at front: 'Adie with love from Dora, Christmas 1892'. Occasional entries in good copperplate hand, in now fading ink, and all for dates in 19th Century. 132 pp. Seller Inventory # 000996
