White dust jacket rubbed with toning particularly prevalent towards upper portions of panels, spine, and flaps; short tear at rear panel's top left with extended scratch descending adjacent to flap fold; some nicks, scuffs, and slight bumping at edges; short tear at front panel's bottom right; front flap retains publisher's printed price at top right; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Black cloth with vibrant silver stamped lettering to spine. Light soiling to text block's top and bottom edges. Author's black ink signature "Ronald Reagan" written at slight upward angle on half-title page; interior pages are otherwise bright and clean. Binding retains some crispness. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. Although with no markings as such the book was acquired via the estate of a daughter of Macon, Mississippi historian and writer/editor Malcomb Brooks "Broox" Sledge (1919-2002) who penned a weekly "Book World" column which was syndicated to fourteen Mississippi community newspapers (including the Macon Beacon, McComb Enterprise-Journal, The Pearl Press, etc.) for nearly thirty years and, via that role, he amassed an intriguing collection of signed books and review copies particularly focusing upon American politics and history.
