Small octavo. (xxxix) 255pp. + 24pp. of the original publisher's ads at the rear. Blue-green cloth boards with blind stamped motifs on the front cover and gilt lettering on the spine. Publisher's ads at interior covers. The half-title is inscribed "From the Author". The title page bears an inscription from Mary Arnold (Matthew Arnold's mother) to her grandson Edward Penrose Arnold (Matthew Arnold's nephew). The publication is the second edition of the Arnold's second collection of poems which was originally published the previous year. The book contains some of Arnold best known work including "Sorab and Rustum" and Tristram and Iseult". The book has been re-backed,with the original spine laid down, while retaining the original front and back covers. Covers stained and smudged, with some light bumping along the edge and corners. Interior with minor age toning to the edges of pages, and some creasing to the edge of a few pages. Light foxing to the edges of the half-title, title page and back of the publisher's ads. Binding in good-, interior in very good- condition overall. Seller Inventory # 42368

International First Class typically starts at $20. International Priority is typically $35 or less if under four pounds weight, and starts at $40 if over four pounds. International Express is a faster and more expensive option.
