Signed limited edition of only 20 copies, printed on Japan vellum, of which 15 are for sale, of which this is number 8. Signed below, Victor H. Paltsits. Published from the original MS. in the British Museum. With introduction and notes by Victor Hugo Paltsits of the New York Public Library. Miller (1666-1724), was appointed chaplain of the New York Companies in 1692, and for his 3 year stay was the only Anglican cleric in New York. He served in Manhattan and Albany. He made a large collection of drawings and notes describing life in New York, and in 1696 returned to England. Miller was captured by French privateers; during his incarceration he wrote his account of New York. 8vo, 135pp, 2 folding plates & 4 folding maps. In the original gray paper covered boards, some wear along spine edge front board, chip on lower spine. OCLC records only limited editions of 400 copies; this edition of 20 not recorded.
