About this Item
The History of the Earlier Years of the Drug and Allied Trades in the Mississippi Valley. Privately printed in 1948. Inscribed and signed by the author on the front endpaper. Stated limited edition (500 copies). Hard cover, no dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition. Hard cover boards bottom corners curling in, with fabric beginning to fray a bit. Golden ink on front cover rubbing off. Fabric has some light spotting on front and spine, some black spotting on back. Small bit of old glue residue on back. A few notable scratches on front and back board fabric. Bottom of front hinge a little bit tender, but feels very robust overall, and back hinge tight. Some pages have some faded dark smudging / ink rubbing from opposite page, but overall very minor. Otherwise, pages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining, or other notable damage or staining. Binding overall tight - some widening in the gutters in a few spots towards text block edge. Seller Inventory # ABE-1724874494162
