Spine a bit age toned, though text block is tight and fine; lacks slipcase. Attractive, tight copy of the first title in the LEC's fourth series, the only ancient Roman novel (composed 2nd century BC) that has survived complete. Appropriately bound not in traditional calf but in actual ass hide. Colophon at rear notes limitation of 1500 numbered copies (this #463) signed by illustrator Goodman. NEWMAN 37.
