very good copy with some very light general wear. tightly bound. black boards showing only the lighest of wear. light sun fading on spine. inscription and previous owner name inside front cover in ink. author's inscription on tipped in card on fly title page. Inscription says, "Faithfully Yours, Ella A. Boole 1929". pages clean and unmarked. 190 pages. Boole was head of the world's "Woman's Christian Temperance Union" from 1931 to 1947. She was also a social reformer, supporting international women's rights, laws to protect the rights of women and children in industry, and women suffrage. She died in 1952 at the age of 93.
