Colour lithograph reproducing an original painting by Claude Flight. The image measuring 17.8 x 15cm. Signed in ink to the lower right margin and titled in ink to the lower left. Contained within the original glazed wooden frame, with label to the rear: "F. J. Ward / 3 Baker St. / London, W.1. / and at / 48 Gt. Russell St. / W.C.1. / (Helena Johnston)" (21.6 x 18.3cm including frame). There is a touch of fading to the ink signature/title. The lithograph is in very good condition, free from foxing and with the colours remaining bold and bright. The frame is also in very good order with just a few expected minor knocks and marks. An uncommon signed lithograph reproducing a painting of a stylised French rural scene by the artist Claude Flight (1881-1955), best known as a leading pioneer and promoter of linocut printmaking during the inter-war period.
