Maroon cloth boards, title in gilt to spine, top edge in gilt, in publisher's dust jacket printed in black. Spine of jacket lightly chipped at head, otherwise a nice bright copy. Inscribed by the Author on the front free endpaper: "An Aimless Joy is a Pure Joy," & dated 30/4/34. The line is from Yeats's the poem 'Tom O'Roughley,' which was first published in 'Nine Poems' (1918) and then in 'The Wild Swans at Coole' (1919).
