A Fair to Good 8vo hardcover in no dust jacket as issued. At the top of the front paste-down is a hand written name followed by "Regards of J. L. Jerome"--see accompanying image. The ffep has a penned U.S. Supreme Court citation at the top and a two inch stain below; penned note on the rfep. The contents (315 pp. + xlix pp. index) otherwise appear clean and complete. Starter before Index page xlvii where the following pages and the lower board are starting to separate. Other instances where pages or gatherings are slightly shaken, but no loose or even severely shaken pages. Green paper quarter bound in tan leather with black spine lettering/decoration. All but the top 3.5 inches of the spine leather is now missing. Some scuffing/staining to the green paper covered boards. No ex-library markings. Seller Inventory # w2344
