Salim Ali (1896-1987) was known as India s Birdman who traveled the length and breadth of India, Kasmir, Nepal, Bhutan and the neighbouring countries to observe , study , photograph and document the birdlife. He authored numerous beautifully illustrated volumes including Birds of Kerala, Birds of Nepal, Indian Hill Birds, Birds of Kutch and more. Also included with this book is a full page biographical article from the Animal Kingdom Magazine ( circa 1987), boldly signed by Salim Ali in Blue ink on the second title page. A very good volume with an unclipped dust jacket over a maroon cloth binding. The dust wrapper is protected in mylar. Signed copies of Salim Ali is extremely rare. And. Seller Inventory # 10102023-1
