A rare dustwrappered copy (no. 324) of the big, thick Edition-de-Luxe Limited first edition of 1000. 16 Black and white & 4 colour plates (tipped-in & with tissue guards) by Helen McKie plus 9 b&w headpieces and a b&w photographic portrait of the author as frontispiece. Bright two-tone red & blue cloth with cream & blue label to spine. Very good oatmeal coloured dustwrapper with "Edition-de-Luxe 21s. net" to front. Tiny loss at head & foot of dustwrapper spine. School prize inscription to ffep. Some sporadic spotting to page edges. The Song of the Foreign Legion at end. A lovely item and sure to please any collector of PC Wren's work. Seller Inventory # 993
