A 7 x 4 1/2" sheet of stationary with "14, Mansfield Street, Portland Place. W." printed in the upper right corner. December 2, 1900. To Cleveland, Ohio based book & autograph collector Frank Pool. She writes in an especially attractive hand: "Dear Mr. Pool: I am going into the country until next Thursday but shall be delighted if you will give me the pleasure and drink tea [.] on Friday next anytime between 4 and 6 o'clock. Sincerly yours Louise Shakespeare" Folded in the middle, some minor age staining to margins, else fine. According to Frank Pool's notes; Louise was the wife of "the great teacher"; the Shakespeare's were part of the London musical-artistic set that included the Rossettis, etc. A scarce ANS/Autograph.
