Book not signed but comes with a letter from Burnett to seller dated 1980- Letter Very Good 5"x 7 1/4" typed SIGNED letter on author's stationary, dated Oct. 21, 1980: "Dear Mr. Montemarano, I appreciate your interest and will be glad to autograph the book when you send it on. It will be published in the Spring of 1981 - but the exact date hasn't been set yet. Probably sometime in April. Gregg Press of Boston is bringing out a definitive edition of Little Caesar also in the Spring of 1981 with introductions, prefaces and commentary- Again, thanks for your interest. Best regards (typed 'N' for 'B' in best). Sincerely W.R. Burnett. PO Box 66563, Los Angeles, Calif. 90066". Letter has three folds and small staple hole on top left. Scarce signed letter from author. Also includes laid-in a small color image of original movie poster for John Huston film that is SIGNED and inscribed by actor JAMES WHITMORE (who played 'Gus Minissi') and a card SIGNED by GENE EVANS (played 'Policeman at Ciavelli's Apartment').
