Poems of an overtly political nature, published when US was meddling in Southeast Asia and elsewhere. Contains "Dachau is Now Open for Visitors." Inscribed by the poet's brother, Jerry Berrigan, to J. Luther Sylvahn (1902-1977), publisher of the Progressive Herald, a Syracuse newspaper that provided a voice for the city's black community.Jerry Berrigan taught English at Syracuse-area schools but, as with his Berrigan brothers, was known for a life of protesting US military action.
