Originally designed as Britain's hew high velocity "super" rifle, the U.S.Enfield was to represent a radical departure from the usual process of the British and U.S. service rifle. In both its .303, and .30 cal forms, it was born of necessity during war, manufactured in millions in the short space of but a few years, ans only destined for a relatively short service life. **The book has tanning, the name of the previous owner written and stamped on the frontispiece along with shelf rubbing at the extremities.
