Add to basketFirst Edition, no additional printings; SIGNED by Barker on half-title page; appears Barker also added the line 'How to read the tracks aright,/Of panther, deer, and bear' to the margin of the poem Mountain Boyhood on page 31, 'had' to poem Star Dance on page 40, and marked the 'u' in 'Jungling' to an 'i' to make the word 'Jingling' instead for the poem Spurs on page 89; bracket to margin of poem Profit and Loss on page 93, possibly by Barker; 8vo, yellow cloth; vg- (light soiling to rear board; spine ends lightly bumped; shelfwear; starting at half-title page; notations by Barker to three, possibly four, poems) with a vg- dj (sticker scar and scrape to top corner of front panel; waterstain to bottom edge of spine tail and both panels near spine tail; spine sunfaded and waterstained; half inch to top of rear panel; edges chipped, torn, worn, and creased); 118pp, laid in article concerning the author's death at 90 (Apr. 2, 1984), in a plastic bag so as not to affect the book. s.
