Fair to good condition former library signed and atributed by author on full title page: "To Ida McDaniel Howdy Miss McDaniel Reg Manning 3/21/38" Spine repaired with red canvas, covering portion of front and back coverboards. Extensive shelfwear from frequent handling, and portion of Manning's name on cover has degraded away. Overall finger soiling coverboards, and foxing outer text block and interior pages. Text block beginning to come away from spine, and last final page with library card sleeve glued to the flyleaf has come loose. That page lower outer corner is torn away. Stamped discard, and other similar hallmarks of former library material. Former bookseller has written the price in pencil top right corner of title page under library call number.
